Eligibilty Criteria for UAE Residence Visa

To be eligible for a UAE resident visa, you must fall into one of the following categories:

Validity Period of Dubai Residence Visa

The duration of a UAE resident visa depends on the purpose of your trip: they are issued for 1, 2, or 3 years and can be renewed. However, UAE authorities offer immigrants a 30-day grace period from which the visa expires.

It means that even if your visa has expired, you can stay for another 30 days, but you must leave the country if you do not have a visa renewal yet. Also, you will have to re-enter through a tax entry permit.

  • For the first six months (180 days) – AED 25 per day
